San Juan Bautista San Juan Bautista, primo de Jesús, predicando en el templo. La tradición cristiana lo considera el precursor de Jesús. Jefe de una secta judía emparentada con los Esenios, llamada los Bautistas, porque daba gran importancia al rito bautismal. La escultura fue realizada por el escultor Llorenç Matamala i Piñol según composición y dirección de Gaudí.
