Gárgolas: Salamandra
La salamandra era venerada como símbolo de la pureza, la permanencia y el fuego. Llenaba un vacío para los historiadores de la naturaleza medievales, quienes creían en la existencia de una bestia de fuego como complemento a las del aire, el agua y la tierra.
Gargoyles: Salamander The gargoyles were first introduced in the gothic cathedrals, are used for drainage of the cathedrals, they release of water with the holes in their mouth. The salamander was revered as a symbol of purity, permanence and fire. It filled a void for medieval natural historians, who believed in the existence of a beast of fire as a complement to air, water and earth. |
