Capilla de la Asunción Para esta Capilla dedicada a la Asunción de la Virgen Gaudí se inspiró en una existente en la Catedral de Girona obra de Bonifàs de Valls, aplicando su lenguaje personal con formas geométricas parabólicas y figuraciones de una rotunda modernidad. Rompe la continuidad del Claustro pero un pequeño vestíbulo asegura la conexión. Tiene dos entradas directas desde la calle y una bóveda hiperboloide la cubre. La Capilla estará culminada por una linterna de 30 metros de altura rematada por una corona imperial.
For this Chapel dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Gaudí was inspired by an existing one in the Cathedral of Girona a work of Bonifàs de Valls, applying his personal language with parabolic geometric froms and figurations of rotund modernity. it breaks the continuity of the Cloister but a small lobby ensures the connection. It has two direct entrances from the street and a hyperboloid vault covers it. The Chapel is topped by a lantern of 30 meter high and is topped by an imperial crown. |
