Familia de Jesús En este grupo escultórico enmarcado por diversos rosarios, Jesús muestra un palomo herido a su padre, mientras San Joaquín y Santa Ana, sus abuelos, los contemplan conmovidos. El palomo que porta el Niño Jesús es símbolo de sencillez y humildad. En la base de la figura de Jesús y San José se encuentra una paloma con las alas abiertas representando al Espíritu Santo. Las estatuas fueron realizadas por el escultor Llorenç Matamala i Piñol según composición y dirección de Gaudí.
Family of Jesus In this group of sculptures framed with various rosaries, Jesus shows a wounded dove his father, while St.Joachim and Santa Ana, his grandparents, contemplate the scene. The dove carrieb by the Child Jesus is a symbol of simplicity and humility. At the base of the figure of Jesus and St.Joseph is a dove with outstretched wings, representing the Holy Spirit. The statues were performed by the sculptor Llorenç Matamala i Piñol as composition and direction of Gaudi. |
