Rock of Montserrat As testimony to the devotion to the Virgin of Montserrat, the pinnacle topped at the portal, 15 meter high, is an allegory to the mountain of Montserrat. Gaudi was inspired by the mythical peak Cavall Bernat, who is defiant, impregnable, advanced on the north side of the eastern sector of Montserrat.
