San José de Calasanz En diversos escritos fundacionales San José de Calasanz hace un planteamiento teórico claro de lo que pretende con la obra que inició: contribuir a la reforma de la sociedad y a la felicidad temporal y eterna de las personas, educando a los niños en la fe cristiana y en las letras humanas, por medio de las Escuelas Pías, es decir, populares y cristianas. Esta filosofía la llevó a la práctica durante cincuenta años hasta su muerte.
