Columna de Jesús En parte baja y en el centro dividiendo el Portal por la mitad, está la columna que representa un fajo de hojas de palmera atado con una cinta tallada alrededor del pilar con la genealogía de Jesús. Una Serpiente en la base, mordiendo una manzana, simboliza el pecado original, que justamente fue el motivo por el que Jesús vino a la Tierra. Sobre el capitel un tallado en piedra que le da nombre a la columna. Sobre el capitel de la columna descansa el Niño Jesús recién nacido arropado por María y José.
