Negaciones de Pedro Las tres mujeres representan las tres ocasiones en que Pedro niega conocer a Jesús. Una de ellas lo señala para indicar que el era uno de los discípulos de Jesús. A la izquierda el Gallo lanza su canto en la madrugada cuando Jesús pasa por el patio y mira a Pedro. La figura compungida de Pedro representa el momento en que recuerda lo que le había dicho Jesús unas horas antes, y llorando se escabulle envuelto en una sábana, todo ello es una alegoría de su negación.
Peter's Denials The three women represents three times when Peter denies knowing Jesus. One of them points out to indicate that he was one of the disciples of Jesus. At the left side is the Rooster singing in the morning when Jesus passes through the courtyard and looks at Peter. The figure represents Peter's sorrowful moment when he remembers what Jesus said a few hours before, and slips away crying wrapped in a sheet, all this is an allegory of his denial. |
