Ábside Poniente En 1956, celebrando el aniversario del nacimiento del arquitecto, la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña crea la Cátedra Gaudí. El Ábside ocupa la cabecera del Templo, entre las fachadas de la Natividad y la Pasión, y al encontrarse sobre la Cripta sigue su misma estructura. Gaudí dedicó el conjunto del Ábside a la Virgen María de la que era gran devoto.
Apse West In 1956, celebrating the birthday of the architect, the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, created the Gaudí Cathedra. The Apse occupies the headboard of the Temple, between the Facades of the Nativity and the Passion, and beeing loacted over the Crypt follows the same structure. Gaudí dedicated the whole Apse to the Virgin Mary which he was a great devotee. |
