San Antonio o Antón Abad (Heracleópolis Magna, 251 – Monte Colzim, 356) fue monje cristiano, fundador del Movimiento Eremítico.

St.Anthony St.Anthony or Anton Abad (Herakleopolis Magna, 251 - Monte Colzim, 356) was christian monk, who founded the Hermit Movement. During a celebration he heard the words of Jesus: «If you want to be perfect, go and sell everything you have and give to the poor». When his parents died he distributed his properties among the poor and retired to the desert, where he began to lead a life of penance and a hermit. |
