Jesús ante Pilato Esta escena muestra a Jesús tras haber sido golpeado y como es presentado por Poncio Pilato ante el pueblo con la corona de espinas, como el Ecce Homo. En el fondo los soldados vigilan al preso y a la derecha el Águila con el nombre del emperador de Roma, Tiberio, cuya columna sirve de separación entre esta escena y el Juicio de Jesús. La piedra bajo los pies de Jesús se agrieta, un presagio del terremoto que se acerca.
Jesus and Pilatus This scene shows Jesus after having been beaten, how he was presentend by Pontius Pilatus to the folks with the crown of thorns, like Ecce Homo. In the background are the soldiers guarding the prisoner and at the right side the Eagle with the name of the emperor of Rome, Tiberius, whose column is the separation between this scene and the next, Jesus Judgement. The stone under the feet of Jesus crack, as a harbinger of the close earthquake. |
