El Águila
El Águila es estandarte del Imperio Romano, es el símbolo legionario por antonomasia. Como ave solar, simboliza a los dioses del cielo. Es emblema del Deus Sol Invictus (invencible dios sol) romano y se usaba para representar al emperador. Se realizaban en plata primero y en oro después. The Eagle On the top of a column is located the roman Eagle, symbol of the Empire, with the inscription: Tiberius, emperor of Rome. The Eagle is the banner of the Roman Empire, the symbol of the legion by excellence. As solar bird, it symbolizes the sky gods.
